The cat died

Robin at 1:40am: A knife fell off the countertop and lanced her ear. She won't stop screaming. I'm on my way to the emergency vet clinic....will you meet me there?

Ben at 3:39am: I still have a flat tire.

Robin at 4:47am: The cat died.

Ben at 10:08am: Thought for sure she would live without an ear.

Robin at 12:16pm: She probably would have if you would have been there!

Ben at 12:18pm: sucks for her
